Garrett and I recently stayed at The Alexis Hotel in Seattle for our 5-year anniversary! In a non-pandemic year, we would have definitely planned a big trip; unfortunately, that wasn’t in the cards during a pandemic, so we decided to stay at a nice hotel downtown! Seattle has so many great hotels, so we were really excited about our stay. Sadly, our original hotel ended up closing (thanks again, Covid!) and we had to find another reservation last minute!
Lucky for us, we ended up at The Alexis Hotel right on 1st street in Seattle! This is a great location (right across the street from Hotel 1000 where we stayed last year). It’s right near the waterfront, and Pike Place Market. While we didn’t explore much due to pandemic conditions, we did get take-out from Man vs Fries and enjoy a relaxing night in.
We booked the One Bedroom Suite King Room; it was the only room available so last minute…and we were very pleased! The room was huge (600-870sq/ft), comfy, and beautiful. The king bed was a DREAM; the sheets were so soft and comfy!
The room consisted of a bedroom with a king bed, a master bathroom with a large shower, a large sitting room with a tv, couch, and minibar, and a powder room bathroom. Both of the bathrooms were really nice, especially the master bath with a beautiful walk-in shower.
The sitting room is actually where we spent most of our time – we binge-watched Netflix pretty much all night! The couch was super comfy, and it was just a relaxing place to spend the evening. All the plugs around the TV were all blocked; this prevents you from plugging in a Fire Stick or Google Chrome and forces you to use their pay-per-view app, which is a little annoying. We just watched Netflix on our laptop!
Lastly, if you didn’t notice from the photos above there is a beautiful brick wall feature on one of the walls that adds so much character to the suite. We really loved this detail and look forward to having something like this in our own home someday! I couldn’t help but use this opportunity to take some fashion photos.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that the staff were just lovely! We literally walked in without a reservation on a Saturday and then were able to book us this beautiful suite. They even sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne and truffles in celebration of our anniversary! It was a truly special stay and I 100% recommend The Alexis Hotel in Seattle. Especially this 1-bedroom king suite!
